Alex and Debbie Izquierdo
Alex and Debbie serve in the state of Oaxaca, south of Mexico. They are located in a region called "La Mixteca", a region where a great variety of ethnic groups live. This region is one of the least-reached areas with the Gospel in Mexico. Their vision is to take the Gospel to different ethnic groups of Oaxaca, show God's love through educational, social, and spiritual services, and plant churches among them. So far, they have served in different places among the Chinanteco, Mixtecan, Triqui, and Huave people.
They continue evangelizing in different ways, using social services (according to the needs), counseling, kids' projects, and spiritual outreaches. There is already a congregation where they are doing pastoral work among Mixtecan, Triqui, and Mestizo people. They continue structuring the congregation, teaching the basics of the Christian Life to new believers, and training others to do it as well. They also plan and organize missions' outreaches within the area and in other states of the country and encourage people from local ethnic groups to share the Gospel with other people groups.
They have three daughters, Sarah, Susan and Shirley who have always gotten involved in ministry and continue to do so. Alex and Debbie serve together in the state of Oaxaca since the year 2000.
