Thomas and Suzana (Isaac) Roger
Thomas and Suzana grew up in a refugee camp in Tanzania and moved to the US in 2016 and received US citizenship in 2022. They have served in a variety of roles through their Swahili language church and their non-profit organization which reaches out to Swahili-speaking youth.
Thomas has facilitated a missionary training program for Swahili language churches in the US and in refugee camps in East Africa. He is committed to seeing African diaspora churches mobilized for missions.
Thomas and Suzana are called to serve among the unreached Safwa ethnic group around the town of Mbeya in Southwest Tanzania. They hope to use Safwa language, tradition and history to contextualize the gospel in understandable ways, plant Safwa churches and build a strong mission culture into the heart of the Safwa ethnic group.
Thomas and Suzana have three children.
