Thad and Anita Maddox
Since 2009, Thad and Anita Maddox have been serving the 80+ children of Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. In 2016, they began leading short term missions to serve at Casa Hogar and now God has now called them to share even more of their lives with the children.
Thad and Anita are all in! They are selling their home and belongings and moving to Nuevo Laredo in October, 2017. There they will help fund and build a learning center at the orphanage, as well as, expand and automate the existing chicken, vegetable and tilapia farm. They will help nurture positive characteristics, including self-confidence, compassion, and integrity to help the children become good examples in their community.
Through it all, they will point each child to Jesus Christ as their Savior so that they can experience restoration to a life of purpose in which they can seek and fulfill their God-given potential. These children have experienced more loss, more devastation, and more violence in their short years than seems bearable, but our God has a plan for each and every one of them and it is good!
There is a saying: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. God is calling them to go far and they cannot do this without you. Prayer, financial support and even becoming hands and feet on site as projects are launched – there is a role for everyone to play in God’s plan. And as a supporter, you will receive frequent updates on the impact YOU are having on the lives of these beautiful children.
Thank you and welcome to the team!
… Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 1 Thessalonians 2:8
