Jeremy and Melody Gonzalez
Jeremy and Melody Gonzalez have been living and serving in Ensenada, Mexico full-time since 2007! They are very passionate about sharing the love of Christ to all in the Ensenada area. Since starting full-time ministry, their family has grown to include three children- Caleb, Eliana, and Julia. All three were born in Ensenada, and homeschool as well as participating in ministry.
The Gonzalez family now joins with Randy and Sandra Huebert at El Refugio Fundación. There, they share the love of Christ to the girls and teens at risk that have been rescued from situations of neglect, abuse, trafficking, and/or drug abuse. These girls live in a family environment, and receive an education, medical care, counseling and spiritual care through Bible studies and prayer.
Everyone at El Refugio Fundación is actively involved in outside ministries including a feeding program in a less privileged community, Bible studies in drug rehabilitation centers, and outreaches to the kids in impoverished communities. They also receive short-term groups from all over North America to aid in ministry, which Jeremy heads up. They stay on the El Refugio base, and come to build homes for families in need, build churches, preach, teach life skills, have medical and clothing outreaches, or do VBS for children in the surrounding communities.
