Saron
Saron was called by God to serve in Ukraine after several short-term mission trips there, where she fell in love with the people and culture. Her passion is sharing God’s love and Good News with those around her, and encouraging people to know and love God, and to live wholeheartedly for Him in every area of life (Colossians 3:23).
Since 2005, she is serving in Ukraine in conjunction with the local Church, focusing on relationships through sport, music, youth group, camps, informal discipleship and fellowship, along with English language and other ministries. Building relationships is key to ministering in a relationship-based culture, and regularly hanging out with people is an important part of ministries. She has a heart for the underdog and those who are hurting or struggling, and likes to bring encouragement from God’s Word and life experiences. Her training in wilderness medicine and search and rescue comes in handy when leading adventure sports and helping with camps in the forest.
She enjoys sports and landscaping because of how God’s Word comes alive through these activities, and how they provide a very practical way to learn to apply the Word in daily life. Most days, she’d prefer to be out in God’s beautiful creation, climbing trees and teaching others to enjoy God’s handiwork and to recognize His fingerprints in His creation.
