Matthew and Marinda Boubel

Matt, Marinda, and their daughters (Eliza, India, and Selah) have been serving in Northern Ireland since October 2023 with a Disciple Making Youth Ministry called Exodus.

After training in the city of Coleraine for their first 9 months, Exodus sent them to Derry/Londonderry as pioneers to expand the work of the ministry in one of the most challenging places for ministry in the country. They made the move in June 2024 and Matthew is currently the Area Leader for Exodus Northwest. Being that the NW is on the border, they are serving young people (ages 15-25) in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Matt and Marinda are passionate about creating opportunities for young people to hear and respond to the Gospel. Since entering a new territory, Matt has launched various initiatives to help bring that passion to life.

There is not a single church in the area that has a full-time youth worker, and many churches don’t even have a youth gathering. For this reason, the Boubels have worked to build relationships with the local church to help provide youth discipleship for churches all over the area.

Matt has diligently been working on forging relationships with Schools to provide enrichment for students to build trust/relationships, run faith clubs on campus, and create weekly discipleship programs for young people to explore their faith.

The Boubels are in awe of the favor they have received from God on this Journey. In a developed country that is riddled with religious tension and is becoming increasingly secular, they hope to bring unity through the Hope of the Gospel. They are very grateful for their support team and all those who are a part of this call to the nations! God is clearly at work on the Island of Ireland, which has been so fun and humbling for them to witness.
