Jeremy, Erin, and their children are heading back to France after a 3-year stint in the US. Jeremy will be volunteering at a youth café, a non-profit “neutral third space” created to provide hope and a sense of belonging to French teens, by working in the kitchen, providing general building upkeep, and supervising and planning live music events. Additionally, he will be serving local churches by leading worship, assisting with outreach projects, and helping mentor and coach men in their faith journeys.
In 2015, their family moved to Cameroon, West Africa, only to be re-routed to the French Alps after an attack on their lives. Thanks to this re-routing by what they call “the incident”, they fell in love with France and ended up working with a language school and local churches.
Their previous life in France also involved playing country music and performing as a family band at festivals, school events, and outreaches. Though the three oldest kids are now at university, the remaining Venables are looking forward to performing together in this new family dynamic, excited to be back in the language they love with the people they love. Vive la France!
