Nina Neubauer

In 2010, when Nina went to South Africa on vacation, little did she know God was about to bring to fruition her desire, twenty years in the making, to work with orphans in Africa. Nina works with orphaned, abandoned and abused children in Johannesburg, South Africa. She serves locally with African Havens, which runs five children’s homes as well as supports other programs such as mentorship for single unemployed mothers, an after-school program and programs to build up communities.

African Havens provides safe places for the joy of childhood to be restored to orphaned and abandoned children as they heal, grow and learn. Nina works with the five children’s homes and provides support to the housemothers, assists with volunteer management, and cares for the children. She assists with the educational, physical and emotional needs of the children. There are about 30 children in the homes. The hope of the homes, in addition to children encountering God’s love, grace and healing, is for the children to reach their potential and destiny and to have a family of their own.

Nina loves ministering to the children and women of the Havens. She has been a foster mom and is currently a full-time auntie to five teenage girls.
