Daniel and Anne Kompaore
Where there is much social and political upheaval and many people searching for true peace, justice, and well-being,
Where the traditional society is undergoing fundamental changes as people encounter both the Christian faith and Islam,
Where Christian believers are seeking to understand what God is saying to them through the Bible,
Daniel and Anne Kompaore seek to make the Bible accessible, understandable, and relevant to the down-trodden, the seeker and the believer through Bible translation consultation, literacy, teaching, and pastoring.
Daniel is an elder pastor for a church he planted in Ouagadougou for the Apostolic Mission Church denomination in Burkina Faso. His passion for education led him to start up several Christian private schools and literacy programs in his own language, Moore. Daniel holds diplomas in Liberal Arts (B.A.) and Administration, with much informal Biblical training.
Anne has served in Burkina Faso for over thirty years, in the areas of linguistics analysis, language development, Bible translation, and Bible teaching. Since 2011, she serves under CTEN as a consultant and trainer for churches, missions, and Bible Translation organizations in various parts of Africa. Anne has a B.A., M.A, and PhD in Linguistics, and an M.A. in Theological Studies. Her special passion is to serve the translators of the Francophone world and contribute to developing much needed resources in French.
Daniel and Anne married in 1993 after having discovered that they share the same passion of getting the Bible into the hands of all people. At that time, Daniel was the founding director of the newly formed National Bible Translation and Literacy Association. Together they serve the Lord and support each other in their respective ministries.
