Andy and Mireille Messer

Andy and Mireille Messer are God’s servants to the tropical West African country of Cote d’Ivoire. But before their call to ministry, they were married in Cote d’Ivoire on February 4th, 2016. Since then, they have been working in a children’s ministry of their home church, Westover Church of Greensboro, NC. During the 2017 Mission Conference at their home church, they sensed God calling them to return to full-time ministry. Their calling reminded them of how God called Jonah a second time (Jonah 3:1). Sometimes God chooses to send His servants again.

They will be working in the eastern region of Cote d’Ivoire. Cote d’Ivoire is primarily French-speaking with an additional 70 tribal dialects.  Their primary ministry goals are to set up a Women’s Training Center and establish a Bible Institute for training church leaders. Andy had previously served in Cote d’Ivoire for 12 years establishing three local churches and a Bible Institute while working primarily in the southern part of the country.

God burdened Andy to focus ministry efforts in the eastern part of the country which is dominated by Islam and pagan tribal religions.  God really impressed upon Andy to reach the people of the East with the message of the gospel.

Mireille is from Cote d’Ivoire. She is from a very large family. God has burdened her to work with the ladies of her country to win them to Christ through various learning activities such as hair braiding, making jewelry, and creating home decorations.

They are praying for God to use them mightily in accomplishing His will in the country of Cote d’Ivoire. Having been in the country, they both have seen that the harvest is ready but the laborers are few. They desire to present their bodies as a living sacrifice for the service of their Savior, Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1).

They both understand that they have been called to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). They pray that others will join them in reaching the different people groups of Cote d’Ivoire.
